Mesh systems are sold as one, two and three-node packs, and the price per node is rarely the same across them — a three-pack is usually the cheapest way to buy two nodes, which is the arithmetic the listing does not show you. The other lever is the Wi-Fi generation: 6E hardware fell sharply once Wi-Fi 7 systems shipped, and Wi-Fi 7 is only worth paying for if something in the house has a radio that can use it.
