Black Friday deals on cameras, checked against their usual price

Black Friday is Friday, November 27, 2026. Amazon has not announced its own sale dates. Checked November 2, 2026, at Amazon: of the 370 we have watched long enough to judge, 32 are below their usual price today. The rest cost what they usually do or more, whatever badge they carry. Black Friday against Prime Big Deal Days, product by product.

Most bought: KODAK PIXPRO FZ55 16MP Digital Camera $139.99, Dylanto Kids Camera Instant Print $35.99 and ESOXOFFORE Instant Print Camera $33.99. Cheapest today: Xilecam Action Camera 1080P 30fps $20.88.

Camera makers set US prices themselves. Canon, Sony, Nikon and Fujifilm run instant-savings periods, and authorised retailers drop to the same price on the same day, so a camera deal at one store is usually the brand’s promotion everywhere. A body and the same body with a kit lens are separate listings with separate histories — check which one a price belongs to before comparing. Action cameras follow the product calendar instead: GoPro has announced its new HERO in September in most recent years, and the outgoing model drops then.

How much is a camera?

“A camera” on Amazon is a trail camera, an Instax, a GoPro or a mirrorless body, and the price follows which one you mean. The type and brand tables on this page are today’s Amazon prices for every new camera we track.

Several kinds share the shelf

Trail cameras strap to a tree and photograph whatever moves past. Instant cameras print the photo on the spot. Action and 360 cameras survive water and knocks. Compact cameras put a zoom or a fixed lens in a pocket, from the budget no-name models to Fujifilm’s X100 and Sony’s RX100. Mirrorless cameras take interchangeable lenses and sit at the top. Compare within one kind.

Mirrorless: the body, then the lenses

A mirrorless camera’s price follows its sensor and what comes in the box. APS-C bodies such as Sony’s a6000 series, Canon’s EOS R50 and R10 and Fujifilm’s X-S and X-T models cost less than full-frame ones such as Sony’s a7 series, Canon’s EOS R8 and Nikon’s Z5. A kit with a lens costs more than the body alone, and a bundle with cards and bags more again, so check what a listing includes before comparing two prices.

Lenses fit one maker’s mount: Sony E, Canon RF, Nikon Z and Fujifilm X lenses do not swap between brands without an adapter, so the first body decides which lenses you will buy.

Instant cameras: the film is the running cost

An Instax or a Polaroid camera is cheap to buy, and every photo uses a sheet of film. Instax Mini film costs less per shot than Polaroid’s I-Type or Go film, and each film fits only its own system, so price a year of film along with the camera.

Action and 360 cameras

GoPro, DJI’s Osmo Action and Insta360 lead the action shelf. A 360 camera, such as Insta360’s X series or DJI’s Osmo 360, records every direction at once and lets you choose the framing afterwards. The cheapest action cameras share the shape but not the sensor or the stabilization.

Cameras by type

Typed by what the listing calls itself; one that names no type is left out. Same prices as the panel above: one per product, new condition.

Compact cameras$563.64$34.9940
Mirrorless cameras$1,498.00$529.0099
What is the average camera price?
$835.50 across the 301 cameras we can price today, against a middle price of $549.00. The average sits above the middle because a few of the dearest models pull it, so the middle price is the better guide to what a typical one costs. One price per product, the cheapest live offer, read in the last few hours.
What is the difference between APS-C and full frame?
Sensor size. A full-frame sensor is the size of a 35mm film frame, 36 × 24 mm; APS-C is about 1.5 times smaller across, 1.6 on Canon. Full frame gathers more light, which helps in dim scenes and for blurred backgrounds, and costs more in both bodies and lenses.
Do Instax and Polaroid cameras use the same film?
No. Instax Mini, Square and Wide film each fit only their own Instax cameras, and Polaroid’s I-Type and Go film fit only Polaroid’s. Check the film format before buying the camera, since the film is what you keep paying for.
