Echo, Ring and Blink are Amazon’s own brands, and Amazon discounts them more deeply and more often than third-party devices, steepest on Prime Day and Black Friday. For cameras and doorbells the sticker is not the cost of owning one: Ring keeps and replays video only on a paid plan, and Blink needs either a plan or its Sync Module with a USB drive. Add that to the price before comparing two cameras.
