Prices we recorded ourselves. Usual is the price on the typical day, with limited-time deals left out unless they ran on most of the days we recorded; Average is the mean of every recorded day, deals included, so a gap between the two columns is a record holding an outlier.

What our record shows

Computed from our own checks at Amazon as of October 10. No line here uses a price a retailer told us about.

These are 27% apart, from $189.99 to $259.99. A gap that wide is a different specification rather than a different finish, whatever Amazon’s swatch calls it, so the prices are listed as they are and none is called the cheaper buy.

Every change we recorded at Amazon

Every row is a price we saw change. We write one only when a price actually moves, so a gap here means the price held.
