$39.97 is within $0.02 of every price we have recorded.

Across 23 days of record it has moved between $39.97 and $39.99. That is too narrow a range for today to be a good or a bad time to buy, even though today sits at the bottom of it.

Prices we recorded ourselves. Usual is the price on the typical day, with limited-time deals left out unless they ran on most of the days we recorded; Average is the mean of every recorded day, deals included, so a gap between the two columns is a record holding an outlier.
